Ủy ban Cờ bạc Anh Quốc (UKGC) đã công bố sách lược mới trong một nỗ lực nhằm giải quyết vấn nạn cờ bạc trong ba năm tới.
Các nhà điều hành, quản lý, tổ chức vận hành, chính phủ và các cơ quan thương mại đều nằm trong nhóm bị ảnh hưởng bởi Sách lược Quốc gia quản lý Cờ bạc uy tín của.
Sự hình thành của sách lược này được đưa ra sau khi Ủy Ban quản lý chiến lược cờ bạc (RGSB) đưa ra lời khuyên cho UKGC. Cơ quan này đã bắt đầu xem xét vấn đề vào tháng Mười Một.
Tổng cộng có 12 hành động ưu tiên được đặt ra bởi sách lược này, trong đó bao gồm giáo dục nhận thức về tác hại của cờ bạc, cải thiện phương pháp xác định tác hại của cờ bạc và kêu gọi sự trợ giúp nhằm giữ liên lạc với các con bạc.
Máy đánh bạc B2 đã được rút ra khỏi sách lược này, vì UKGC tuyên bố họ sẽ giải quyết vấn đề này một cách riêng biệt.
Sách lược mới này tiếp nối chuỗi hành động trước đó, vốn đã được ban bố vào năm 2012 và hoạt động từ năm 2013. Chiến lược mới sẽ có hiệu lực trong khoảng thời gian ba năm kế tiếp từ 2016 đến 2019.
Neil Goulden, chủ tịch của hội Cờ bạc uy tín, cho biết: “Hội Cờ bạc uy tín chia sẻ những ưu tiên được đặt ra trong sách lược mới của RGSB. Đặc biệt, chúng tôi tập trung vào việc giảm thiểu tác hại rõ ràng hơn cho những người còn mơ hồ về cờ bạc. Chúng tôi cũng tin rằng phòng ngừa luôn tốt hơn việc giúp đỡ từng cá nhân, gia đình và xã hội giải quyết những hậu quả của vấn nạn nghiện cờ bạc “.
Trong tháng Hai, dựa theo một báo cáo được công bố bởi UKGC được tiến hành thông qua chấm điểm màn hình, tổng cộng 0,5% số người tham gia khảo sát rơi vào nhóm nghiện cờ bạc. Tỉ lệ này hầu như tương đồng với kết quả hai năm trước đó.
